AUCKLAND - Jan 3-10 | Rikk WattsSummer Conference for Compass NZ - renamed VENN Young Adults - alumni leadership with Compass NZ. Rikk is guest speaker at this year's event, along with alumnus Andrew Shamy. Snell's Beach is where Lifeway College is located; north of city of Auckland.

ST. LOUIS, MO - Jan 5-9 | Phil Long | Teaching a PhD seminar at Concordia Seminary.

MELBOURNE - Jan 12-15 Rikk Watts |  CMS-Australia, Victoria Mission Conference Summer Under The Son. Rikk will leading the Bible studies on 2 Corinthians on Paul and Christian Character.

HAMILTON, NZ - Jan 21-25 | Rikk Watts | Guest speaker at this year's Festival One event at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton, New Zealand. This is a multi-day Christian Festival held on Auckland Anniversary Weekend. Rikk's topic: "The biblical story: So What?"

LANGLEY, BC - Jan 25 | Rod Wilson | Preaching at three services and doing an afternoon (3-5 pm) seminar on Mental Illness in the church. North Langley Community Church, Langley. See service times and location.

LONDON, UK - January | Paul & Sarah Williams | Will be key speakers at an in-house conference for specific network of churches. Topic: “Following, Sharing & Representing Christ in a World of Religions". Check John's website for updates.

NEWBERG, OR - Feb 6 | Hans Boersma | will present a free guest lecture at George Fox University on the topic of biblical interpretation on Friday, Feb. 6. Boersma’s lecture, titled “Why We Need an ‘Other’ Reading: Or, Why We Ourselves Are the Ones Taking the Exodus Journey,” will offer a defense of allegory as a method for biblical interpretation, following early Christian authors such as Melito, Origen and Gregory of Nyssa. The talk is aimed at both scholarly and popular audiences who are interested in biblical interpretation and the history of Christian thought more generally.

  • The presentation begins at 4:30 p.m. in Room 105 of the school’s Hoover Academic Building at George Fox University.
